1. Annette Louise Solakoğlu: Photographer & Filmmaker (Hudson Valley, NY & Istanbul)
Originally from Sweden and raised in Germany, Annette Louise Solakoğlu divides her practice between New York’s Hudson Valley and Istanbul. A graduate of Berlin University of the Arts with an MFA from Boston University, she works in large- and medium-format analogue photography to explore architectural memory, cultural heritage, and botanical stillness, including her acclaimed Prinkipo series documenting Büyükada, the historic Splendid Palace Hotel, and Leon Trotsky’s house. Winner of the 2020 IPA Silver Award and Julia Margaret Cameron Award, her works are held in the permanent collection of the Putnam History Museum and featured in Cornucopia Magazine and Black+White Photography Magazine.

2. Ci Demi: Photographer (Istanbul, b. 1986)
An Istanbul-born photographer with a background in Italian Literature, Ci Demi investigates the psychogeography of his native city, merging intimate landscape narratives with lived urban tensions. Following his acclaimed debut photobook Şehir Fikri (Notion of a City, 2022), his work has appeared in The New York Times, Financial Times, Die Zeit, and Der Spiegel, and exhibited at Les Rencontres d’Arles, Pera Museum, Photo London, and MUDEC Milan. Recipient of the Encontros da Imagem Discovery Prize (2022) and the Capri Photography Festival Award (2025).

3. Hector McDonnell: Painter & Etcher (Belfast, b. 1947)
Born in Belfast and educated at Eton and the University of Oxford, Northern Irish painter, etcher, and author Hector McDonnell trained in Munich and Vienna before receiving the prestigious Darmstädter Kunstpreis in 1979. Major museum retrospectives at the Mathildenhöhe in Darmstadt (1981) and the Ulster Museum, Belfast (2003–04) established his international reputation for luminous architectural interiors, landscapes, and portraits. Şule Gazioğlu Gallery presents his solo exhibition Istanbul’s Light at Gallery 8, St James’s, London in September 2026.

4. Lütfiye Kösten: Contemporary Figurative Painter (İzmir / Nantes, France, b. 1978)
Educated in Painting at Dokuz Eylül University, Photography at Yıldız Technical University, and holding an MFA from the École des Beaux-Arts de Nantes in France, Lütfiye Kösten lives and works in France. Her figurative paintings combine graphic linearity, pictographic color fields, and piercing, realistic gazes to interrogate time, space, identity, and quiet rebellion against societal roles.
